ABOUT DMO: Democratic Municipal Officials is a national organization representing current and future Mayors, City Council Members, Commissioners, School Board Members, and Special District Representatives across the United States who identify with the values of the Democratic Party.

As the official organization of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) representing local elected officials and candidates, DMO serves as the Democratic voice in local politics and the local voice within the Democratic Party. Our members are on the front lines of democracy, engaging directly with their communities and delivering results where the government meets people’s everyday lives.

DMO is building durable Democratic power from the ground up. With thousands of local elected officials, candidates, alumni, and partners in our national network, DMO is the fastest-growing organization within the Democratic Party and the largest coalition of Democratic municipal leaders in the country. Together, our members strengthen democratic institutions, defend local communities, and advance Democratic values in cities, towns, villages, townships, and boroughs nationwide.
